This is a vintage pewter inkwell with pen holder and plastic ink holder that was made for the Waldorf Astoria Hotel of New York by INSICO PEWTER (International Silver Co) of Meriden, Connecticut. It has a round plate with two attached pieces that act as a pen rest and the attached bottle house that holds a plastic or bakelite ink receptacle (Sengbusch). It is 3" tall and the base diameter is 6 1/2". The condition is very good, no missing parts.
